Canteen DirectorYour club urgently needs a Canteen Director! Without volunteers, the Lions couldn't function and our children would have nowhere to play their favorite sport. It is volunteers that manage all of the Club's day to operations, raise money to improve our facility, manage our player registrations and finances, make sure your child has well-fitting, safe equipment, maintain our fields, coach your child's team and generally ensure that the Fort Garry Lions Football Club is an exciting, safe, welcoming family environment. Now we need somebody to step forward to be our Canteen Director for the upcoming season. This is an important position that not only provides a vital service to your child's Club but also generates significant revenue. What the job involves: - Co-ordination of canteen volunteers. - Maintaining an inventory and purchasing of supplies as required (budget provided) - Keeping records of sales and provide a summary at monthly board meetings - Ensuring the canteen is clean and appliances are in good order - Ensuring the canteen is open for all home games & is locked at the end of the day - Help keep washrooms stocked with soap, toilet paper and paper towels - Organize 50/50 sales for each home game If you can contribute to your Club by taking on this position, please contact the Club secretary, Carrie Myer at 489-7164 or e-mail at
