Canteen Director

Your club urgently needs a Canteen Director!

Without volunteers, the Lions couldn't function and our children would have nowhere to play their favorite sport.  It is volunteers that manage all of the Club's day to operations, raise money to improve our facility, manage our player registrations and finances, make sure your child has well-fitting, safe equipment, maintain our fields, coach your child's team and generally ensure that the Fort Garry Lions Football Club is an exciting, safe, welcoming family environment.

Now we need somebody to step forward to be our Canteen Director for the upcoming season.  This is an important position that not only provides a vital service to your child's Club but also generates significant revenue.

What the job involves:

- Co-ordination of canteen volunteers.
- Maintaining an inventory and purchasing of supplies as required (budget provided)
- Keeping records of sales and provide a summary at monthly board meetings
- Ensuring the canteen is clean and appliances are in good order
- Ensuring the canteen is open for all home games & is locked at the end of the day
- Help keep washrooms stocked with soap, toilet paper and paper towels
- Organize 50/50 sales for each home game

If you can contribute to your Club by taking on this position, please contact the Club secretary, Carrie Myer at 489-7164 or e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Remember, without volunteers - without you - the Lions couldn't exist!

 Lions Wish List
The Fort Garry Lions is a non-profit, volunteer staffed organization with an objective of building the character and life skills of youth by providing a quality learning and development experience though participating in the great game of football.

Like any organization of our type, our club operates on a very limited budget. In this regard, we greatly appreciate any and all contributions of various items and/or services that individuals and/or business organizations within the Fort Garry area may be able to provide that will help us maintain a quality football program for our kids.  We know that not everyone can assist by volunteer their time.

That is why we would ask you to please take a moment to visit the Lions Wish List page to see if there are any products (new or used) or services that are listed that you may be able to help our club out with.  If so, please just call or e-mail our Club President. All contributions would be greatly appreciated and will be acknowledged on our website.   Thank-you.
