Our President:Welcome and thank you for visiting our website!

Since 1957, the Fort Garry Lions Football Club has provided young people in the Fort Garry area the opportunity to experience and participate in the great game of football.  While on the one hand, we strive to provide a safe and caring environment in which youngsters can have fun and learn the skills of the game, our primary purpose is to contribute to developing in each of our players the fundamental principles of good citizenship.  Under the guidance of our trained and certified coaches we seek to have each player come to understand how to be part of a team and to value working together toward a common goal.

Our club offers football programs for boys and girls from the age of 7 in our "Terminator" teams on up to and including young adults of 22 in our "Major" league team.

The Fort Garry Lions has been operating continuously now for 53 years and in that time there are few other clubs in the city that can match its history of success, either on the field or as a valued contributor to its community.  This proud tradition is a product of countless hours given by people who volunteer their talents and energy to make our club work.

Volunteers are truly the life-blood of our organization. Without volunteers - without YOU – the Lions couldn’t exist.  From the coaches on the field to the people who staff our canteen or help with equipment, field maintenance and fundraising activities, it is the selfless contribution of parents like you that keeps our program vibrant, successful and affordable for all.

If you would be willing and able to help out in any way, please send give me a call or send me an e-mail.  We would love to have you involved as part of our team.

Whether you're a parent of a player, a player yourself or just a football fan, we truly hope you enjoy the 2010 season of Lions Football and we look forward to seeing you out in the stands cheering your favorite Lions team on to victory.

Best Regards
