Mr Duncan

It is with profound sadness that the Fort Garry Lions announce the passing of our friend and mentor, Jim Duncan, today April 9, 2018 at 8:45 am due to complications from pneumonia. Mr Duncan has been a vital part of the Manitoba football community and especially the Fort Garry Lions for longer than most can remember. His passing has left a large hole in our hearts.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Duncan family during this very sad time.

Open House

Come join us at the FGL field this Sunday, April 22 from 1-4pm for an afternoon of fun.

There will be a live dj, free hotdogs, a chance to see our new equipment room, and fun football drills for the kids. We encourage all the kids to invite their friends to come and see what football is all about.

Drop in for a while or stay for the whole time.

We hope to see you there.

Lions Girls Football

By Jeff Kerr 11/25/2017, 5:00pm CST

The Manitoba Girls Football Association, MGFA, is the first full contact football program for young girls in the world! The MGFA is dedicated to developing and fostering opportunities for girls to play football against other girls.

The MGFA has been in operation since 2011.In 2017 the MGFA fielded girls teams from 7 local football clubs. We here at the Lions are hoping to join that group for 2018.

Samantha Conlin is spearheading the drive to determine the level of interest from our Fort Garry Lions families.
